Ross....Thanks very much for the 1-5 volumes of
alt.stones stuff. It is really cool thing you've done for Stones fans on the
newsgroup.What really blows my mind is the "countrified" version of
Loving Cup. Neverheard it that clean before. It's great!
For those who might have missed it. The Alterative
Stones Cd set was advertised in the Journal, before last. I got it, within a
week of sending off for it. Bro's I was shocked. This is a well layed out cd
program. 5 cds in all. Each is a gem. Only a person who truely know the stones
could have put this package together. I know we got most of the matteral on
100's of other cds. But here it's neatly placed on 5 cds. Very affordable. Only
$25 for the package / matching artwork. I belive it's the best deal I've ever
seen in SFJ. I would have dug deep in my pocket, to buy this set in a Store.

for a Co. But its the best damn deal of this yr. .... I belive a lot time and
planing went into this project. Also I belive it'll be a Jewel in my collection.
I got the discs in the mail today and I enjoy
them. This is the first time I have ever gotten the "great stuff". I
hope you continue doing great business with the fans. You are doing a great
service to us who unfortunately can not find any great unreleased Rolling
Stones material at the flea markets and thrifts stores in the middle Georgia
area.
I'd like to say, as a
longtime Stones fan, that this 5 CD compilation is FANTASTIC!! There are some
things on here that even I haven't heard, and working in a record store for
many years + having a boss who's a Stones collector, finding new Stones' gems
isn't an everyday occurance.Kudos to Ross on the track selections, and
EXCELLENT sound quality. If you want a great overview of The Rolling Stones in
the studio, you MUST order this set. NOW - we need to get to work on a
multi-disc "live"set....

ordered the 5 CD Alt.Stones. Man that is killer. Love the sound quality. Thanks

great!!! Thanks again!!! There's gotta be an encoreleft in you for a Volume 6
(maybe great live versions?)

Listened to Vol. 3 this
morning. Again, what can I say that I haven'talready said? Let's just leave it
at "EXCELLENT!"
vol 2 is really cool and
well put together, thanks, and 3 is even better, even though the songs are not
so "rare" together they make up a really good album, ive been playing
this one loads, some of my fave stones tunes were b sides (through the lonely
nights, child of the moon).

This kinda reminds me of
the Beatles Unsurpassed Masters & Artifacts series where you get the best
without a lot of the dups and good-but-not-awesomestuff.

existed (like that never-before herard "memo from turner"-i was
expecting the metamorphosis version, so that really caught me off-guard!) youve

First let me say thanks
for a truly great collection of cuts! I got the "Killer B's"
yesterday, and it is my absolute favorite! I treasure all three volumes, but #
3 has got that stone blues sound down...the stuff that I believe this band is
at its peak doing.
I got vol. 3 last night
and I love it, thanks. Again the sound quality isgreat! I have Throught the
Lonely Nights, Everythings Turning to Gold and acouple of others and they suck
compared to your versions.
